A handmade ceramic cauldron mug featuring a skull painted in layers of reactive ivory glaze against a deep brown surface. As the piece fires, the glazes melt and interact, giving each skull soft edges, subtle color variation, and an aged appearance unique to the kiln.

Each mug is individually wheel-thrown and altered with three hand-formed legs and an elongated handle, creating the silhouette of a small cauldron. A warm brown glaze continues through the interior for a rich, earthy finish.

The skull imagery draws from memento mori, medieval art, historical ornament, and the symbolism of mortality and transformation. The result is functional pottery that feels somewhere between everyday drinkware and a small modern relic.

Each cauldron mug is individually thrown, altered, glaze-painted, glazed, and fired by hand. Variations in the skull, glaze movement, form, and feet make every mug one of a kind.
